Our treatment philosophy incorporates various techniques and therapeutic perspectives. The techniques utilized by our staff include: Partnering with the client to develop an individualized treatment plan as well as, assertiveness training, self-esteem building, stress and anger management, cognitive restructuring.
Our counselors utilize group counseling, individual therapy , and family counseling session, using various therapeutic perspectives including: cognitive/behavioral, experienced based and person centered therapies. Our program also incorporates and promotes the Twelve Step Program of recovery used by Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
Alpha 2 programs are structured around a "Six Dimension" approach. The Six Dimensions covered include the following Domains: Physical, Psychological/Emotional, Spiritual, Social, Family, and Environmental/Vocational.

* 18 years and older
* Substance dependence or abuse issue
* Medically and psychologically stability
* No record of violent offenses

Environment
Alpha 2 is nestled in the small, rural community of Tonkawa, Oklahoma. Our facility resembles a homelike atmosphere which includes: A 30 bed dormitory, home cooked meals, full kitchen and dining hall, as well as administration and counseling offices. Recreation activities available to our clients include: free weights, pool tables, basketball, horseshoes and volleyball. The campus is located on 5 acres in a serene rural setting.
